HI, WE ARE PARKSEEKERS!
We are a fairly typical family of four living in sunny Southern California. We are fortunate and truly grateful to live in a region that is so diverse in its landscapes and people. With the Pacific Ocean minutes to the West, the Mojave Desert just a couple hours to the East and mountains all-around, we’ve always appreciated the beautiful natural places that surround us. Having so much, so close to home hasn’t stopped us from adventuring outward however, making long family road-trips East to the middle of the country. In fact, with five National Parks, Utah is one of our favorite states to visit!
While we’ve visited many of these beautiful places before the stork delivered our children, we stepped up our adventures in earnest after their arrival. We wanted to share these places with them at the earliest possible moment, hopeful that they’ll grow to understand their value, appreciate them and protect them for others to enjoy.
Through our adventures, we’ve learned a good amount about camping, hiking and road-tripping with kids (and in general) that we’re happy to share. We hear from other parents about how intimidating it is to even think about taking their first family camping trip or getting out on that first family hike. What we can tell you is that a little bit of planning can help you address most of your concerns, the rest is what makes up the adventure! Bigger picture, it’s about getting outside with your whole crew whether it’s at a local park or at a National Park!
Whether you’re just getting started or an experienced adventurer, we’d love to hear from you. Please share your thoughts, tips, questions and comments with us! We are always open to a good conversation. And be sure to join our mailing list so we can keep you updated on new content.
See you on the trail!
